| @NoelleIsSleepy I have to point out that Yona is a Korean name, same with most of the main cast (Hak, Su-won, etc.). The show is heavily inspired by Korean culture, but they mix in some Chinese and Japanese as well. |
| Technically she's not Chinese since it's a high fantasy alternative universe setting and she's a denizen of the country of Li (or as some are keen to refer to it as, "not-China"). But if we're ignoring that then she's definitely up there, though even if we're even just talking from The Apothecary Diaries' universe, I'm more partial to Lishu. Though as things currently stand, perhaps my prime choice from any anime would be Aiyou Xu.   |

I think Ruili is the best Chinese waifu. Certainly a somewhat deranged girl, but that just contributes further to her charm. It's hard to be completely sane in such a desolate, fatalistic setting after all. |
